FAQs

Seriously, this is a big one. There is a ZERO tolerance policy for alcohol on convention grounds. Our venue vendor is awesome and this is their biggest request. There are some great bars in the convention’s neighborhood (read, offsite!) - we can give recommendations for a post game drink.

Of course you should! All our GMs will be happy to teach you how to play and will bring all the materials you need. Our best suggestion is to check the Lineup page, and register for games that sound interesting. You do not have to register for every game slot. Even if you drop in for one quick game, we are happy you attended.

100% of Ember Con’s proceeds go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. We can’t state this enough - we don’t make any money off of Ember Con!

First, thank you for GMing. Ember Con wouldn’t happen without talented GMs. As an Ember Con GM, your first step is to visit https://forms.gle/45N5tb4VX1sYxU6X9. From there, you can submit the games you want to run. Some important info…
Game submissions are open now till December 19 at midnight. The lineup will be built on a first come first served basis - if you want a specific time slot, submit your game early!
Any game / system is welcome, so long as it’s a TTRPG.
Once your games are submitted, a GM’s schedule will be built and emailed to you in roughly two days.

You are more than welcome to bring outside food / beverages to Ember Con, and there are plenty of takeout / delivery options in the neighborhood (ask event organizers for recommendations). There will be no food vendors on site!
-
Maybe someday, but we are way too small of a convention for that! Outside food / drinks are allowed in the convention. Send an email to emberconwi@gmail.com for local recommendations.

We will update the Lineup page as we receive game submissions - feel free to scope out the page and keep tabs on games that look interesting. The Lineup page will be live for events registration on December 20 at Noon CST. Tickets will be processed on a first come first served basis - if there is a game that is high priority, we recommend submitting your ticket request as close to December 20 at Noon CST as possible.
